ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

8.1 TEAM NOMINATIONS

Each team, before the coin toss, must give to the other team the official Team Nomination Sheet with all players for the match clearly listed on the sheet. The nominated team may be altered only with the consent of the opposing captain.

It must be on the prescribed form printed from the my cricket website showing the player id number and full name thereon.

Without this form, the opposing team may lodge a formal protest and the points for that round maybe stripped from the team, which failed to provide the form.

All teams must be selected and entered into my cricket/instructed applications the night before.

8.2 PLAYING TWELVE (12) PLAYERS

Teams may elect to nominate twelve (12) players to participate in each match. If a 12th player is to play, the following conditions apply:

(a) All twelve (12) players are to be recorded on the Team Nomination Sheet before the coin toss.

(b) While any of the twelve (12) players may field, no more than eleven (11) players for a team may participate in the field at any one time.

(c) No more than eleven (11) players are permitted to bat during the match.

(d) No more than eleven (11) players are permitted to bowl during the match.

The player nominated to bat and bowl must be clearly marked on the team sheet before play commences. Such marking maybe made by writing on the my cricket form

8.3 RESPONSIBILITY OF SCORERS

Scorers are to sit together to regularly check scores. Full details of batting,bowling, progressive run total and scores at each completed over, are to be agreed and recorded by scorers of both teams at the end of each over. Clear recording of fielders names who catch and run out opposing players must also be included. Bowlers’ names are to be pre written into the scorebook before the fielding team goes out. It is the TEAMS’ responsibility to provide competent scorers. A scorer may not be a junior or a player of that match. A penalty for not providing a scorer can be loss of competition points for that round or a fine of $1,000.00 per game and/or both. The Management Committees decision is final.

8.4 SCORING DISPUTES

In the event of a dispute as to the scores in each book at the end of play, the umpires or team officials are to check and compare the batting scores. If a dispute still exists, score books and reports are to be forwarded to the APL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE by Monday 6.00pm after completion of the match.

8.5 RECORDING OF MATCH RESULT

The match result along with full details of batting and bowling are to be recorded on the scoring app (details to be provided) by 9pm on the Tuesday after the completion of a match. The result and other details are to be confirmed by the officials from both teams and confirmed on scoring app. Any disputed games are to be referred to the APL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE no later than 9.00pm the day of the game. The failure to observe these requirements may result in a fine or loss of points for offenders.

8.6 FINAL ROUND RESULTS & SEMI-FINAL RESULTS

After both the last round and semi-finals, the APL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE is to be notified of results within 24 hours of completion of each match. The completed Team Nomination & Result Sheet is to be submitted as per Rule 8.5 above.
